It consists of two types of fees:

triangle Access fee:
The access and use of the NPI in commercial studies is subject to Dr Cummings's prior's permission. It includes the payment of a per study fee that is to be negotiated with and paid directly to Dr Cummings ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). The copy of Dr Cummings's permission letter must be provided to MAPI Research Trust.


triangle Translation fee (existing NPI translations):

The use of NPI translation(s) for commercial purposes (clinical trials, screening for commercial projects, application by for-profit health care providers, etc) is subject to a per translation fee of 500 USD per language version, payable to MAPI Research Trust on behalf of Dr Cummings.

It should be noted that the access and use of NPI translation(s) for all non commercial research and clinical purposes is free from Dr. Cummings' royalty fee.

carre6 Processing Fees (Mapi Research Trust):

- In non funded academic research and clinical practice (1) :  free of charge.
- In funded academic research (2): 300 €* per study + an additional 50 €* per language version requested.
- In commercial studies (3): 600 €* per study + an additional 250 €* per language version requested.

* excluding VAT

(1) Not funded academic research: if the project is not explicitly funded, but funding comes from overall departmental funds or from the University or individual funds then fees are waived.

(2) Funded academic research: projects receiving funding from commerce, government, EU should anticipate paying the corresponding fees.

(3) Commercial studies (industry, CRO, any for-profit companies).


2. User Agreement:


User is required to complete and sign a User Agreement in which specific conditions required by the Author are detailed.
