MAPI Research Trust develops collaborative initiatives and educational means to better inform health care providers, pharmaceutical industry personnel, and health authorities on issues related to the field of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO).

Our objectives include improving the understanding of cross-cultural and ethical issues in health outcomes research and assisting, in the application of PRO assessment in clinical research and practice. We interact with the scientific community and health authorities of various countries in order to create and submit guidelines on PRO.

The Education and Development Centre is committed to :

carre6 Inform and educate the health authorities as well as pharmaceutical companies on issues relevant to the field of PRO;
carre6 Establish principles and practice guidelines for the integration of PRO/HRQoL in the regulatory process;
carre6 Refine or develop methods for HRQoL studies with the Cochrane HRQoL Methods;
carre6 Conduct collaborative research programs in the field of PRO, disseminating knowledge and encouraging research links with industry, care providers, and academic institutions.

Further the understanding of the importance of taking cultural adaptation into consideration while using PRO instruments in clinical trials.
